L’Escalet/ Cap Taillat: Beautiful walk, with some beach coves on the way, starting at the last parking area in l’Escalet in the direction of Cap Taillat. There is a gorgeous beach alongside Cap Taillat in the natural reserve (no restaurants around so bring some food/ water/ sunscreen!).
Bonne Terrasse: Small & quiet family beach.
Pampelonne: You will find a mix of private beach clubs and “publique/ free beach” areas (please see the restaurants post for the private beach clubs). The best free beach areas are:
Plage publique next to Cabane Bambou beach (option 1 on the map) - big stretch of beach with a naturist section, usually a bit busy.
Plage publique on the left side of La Réserve beach when facing the sea (option 2 on the map) - 10min walk from the parking lot. Usually a quiet spot.
Plage publique next to the snack of the Club 55 (option 3 on the map) - usually quiet, beautiful water.
La Croix Valmer
Gigaro beach: Family friendly beach alongside the Boulevard de Gigaro, with a couple of restaurant options in the area. My favourite place on this beach is the part that is just before Heraclée, after the public WC/ shower. You will usually see a lot of fishes in the water there and it’s usually not crowded.
Héraclée: Another nice beach option, next to Gigaro. The Cabane Méditerranée restaurant is a good lunch spot there.
Sylvabelle: A wonderful beach with crystal clear water, next to Héraclée. There is no beach restaurant nor bar so bring some food and some water with you!
Plage du Brouis: You will reach this lovely beach in the natural reserve after a 45min walk alongside the sentier littoral starting in Gigaro (no restaurant around so bring some food/ water/ sunscreen).
Plage du Débarquement: Big beach area in the direction of Cavalaire with a couple restaurants near the parking.
St Tropez
Les Salins: Nice beach with beautiful shallow waters. The restaurant is a really good option if you want to have lunch with your feet in the sand.
